A reconstruction completed in 1992, of the 1891 Wallis Hotel which once stood near the railroad depot farther south on Main Street. Like many late 19th century hotels, the Wallis hosted mostly traveling salesmen, representatives, of farm implement manufacturers and the like. Closed in 1926, the hotel was demolished in the late 1930's, but fondly remembered by generations as the "Old Brick Hotel." This faithful re-creation has been developed by the City of Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau as its home, as well as the offices of the Grapevine Heritage Foundation.
