The dramatic International-style First National Bank of Grapevine, constructed in 1942 and designed by noted Dallas Architect Walter Ahlschlager, sports glass block, aluminum and steel windows and doors and terrazzo floors, all typical of its style and period. Underneath the textured exterior coating, sprayed on in the 1960's, is a facade of dressed Texas limestone.
